Losing Weight Fact and Fiction
The latest data from the National Center for Health Statistics show that 30 percent of US adults 20 years of age and older, over 60 million people, are obese. These numbers are staggering compared to past numbers. Like myself, chances are many of those people are not horrible eaters like many may think. In fact, there might not be anything wrong at all with your eating habits.

The fact is that it doesn’t matter if you eat 50 hamburgers a day, or 2 salads a day, if you have a slow metabolism, your eating habits may have very little effect on your weight. Metabolism is an internal process in which your body breaks down food and nutrients to create and store energy. This energy is vital to weight loss.

I have a very slow metabolism, which makes it very hard to lose weight, and when I finally do lose weight, to keep it off. Your metabolism is hereditary, which means you most likely got it from one of your parents, so it is not your fault in any way. The simple fact is, if you want to burn fat, and once you have completed that, to keep that fat off, you must speed up your metabolism.

You can exercise every hour of the day, but with a slow metabolism, you will never get the same results as if you had sped up your metabolism. Now you ask, how am I supposed to speed up my metabolism? Well there are many ways, but there is one proven to turbo-charge your metabolism and help burn and keep off fat.
